Frequently asked
- Do these tools send my data anywhere?
- No. Every tool runs in your browser. The licensing calculator does its arithmetic in JavaScript on your device, and the admin cheat sheet is a static page filtered client-side. Nothing is submitted to a server and nothing is stored beyond the URL parameters you choose to share.
- Are the licensing prices accurate?
- The calculator uses Microsoft's published list prices, dated on the page. Real invoices are almost always lower — Enterprise Agreements, CSP, non-profit and education programmes discount from list, and Microsoft revises the price list every few months. Treat the total as the shape of the decision, not the number on the purchase order.
- Where do the cheat-sheet snippets come from?
- Every block is lifted verbatim from a runbook or how-to guide on this site — nothing is written for the cheat sheet itself. Each snippet links back to the guide that explains the why, the prerequisites, and how to roll it back.
- Do you take feature requests?
- Yes — the contact form on the About page reaches Emil directly. Missing calculators, missing comparisons, and gaps in the cheat sheet are the most useful thing to hear about.
